We were fond of Jeff as a teacher and friend. Our daughter had him in elementary school, and she was a senior this year. We have a red oak tree that Hannah brought home from him in about third or fourth grade. It was about knee high when she excitedly brought it home. We planted it and now it is about twelve feet tall. We think of his kindness and the impact he had on all the children that he taught. Jeff lives on. One of the funniest moments in elementary school was when our daughter came home and told us that Mr. Waterman had a baby goat under his desk. It was sweet. It was also fun one year when he played Santa Claus. She said" That's not Santa, that's Mr. Waterman!"

You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives. - Clay P. Bedford

We are so sad to hear this.
Jeff was a great friend. We had a lot of fun times together.
We lost touch the last few years but are so glad we ran into Bob last summer. He told us Jeff was at Jody's so we went there to visit Jeff that afternoon. We really enjoyed seeing him. He was so proud of his kids and grandkids. And he was happy his brothers and sisters wanted him back in Iowa. Words just can't express how sad we feel right now.
We want you to know we are thinking of all of you.
